Japanese Armor

Light Armor

Medium Armor

Heavy Armor

  • Kusari gusoku: same as chain mail.
  • Tosei gusoku (当世具足): "modern armor". Same as plate armor, but weight is only 45 to 55 lb. Cost: ?.[1]

Chinese Armor

  • Cotton armor (绵甲, miánjiǎ): basically, Brigandine without metal plates. Weight about 9 lb. TODO
  • Lamellar armor (扎甲, zhājiǎ): Weight 25 to 35 lb. TODO
  • Brigandine (布面甲, bùmiànjiǎ): rectangular metal plates riveted in between fabric layers with rivet heads visible on the outside. Weight about 60 lb. TODO

Korean Armor

  • Padded armor (엄심갑, eomshimgap): most common soldiers used this cheap armor.
  • Leather lamellar (가죽 찰갑, gajug chalgab): practically the same as Studded leather armor.
  • Scale armor (비늘 갑옷, bineul gab-os).
  • Brigandine armor (두정갑, joseon): similar to the Chinese brigandine. Rare and expensive.
