You are burakumin (部落民), one of a social grouping associated with "unclean" (穢れ, kegare) things, mainly those with occupations related to death. These include executioners, gravediggers, slaughterhouse workers, butchers, and tanners. Burakumin are physically indistinguishable from other Japanese, but they can only live in areas designated for them and are normally not allowed to leave.
If you are known a burakumin, you are subject to discrimination and prejudice. Thus, adventurers generally keep their burakumin origin as a secret. Only your best friends you have knowed a long time might know about it.
