You're not restricted by having two hands full of weapons. You can open doors, reload, and so forth without putting anything down. This doesn't help you fight using a weapon in either hand – take Ambidexterity, Dual-Weapon Attack, and/or Off-Hand Weapon Training for that. You must specialize by one-handed weapon skill.
