Since you can exactly say half, that is, 50 %, you must also know how many members our congreation has. This does make your claim very easy to check. Just tell us: how many members our congreation has? Otherwise your claim is automatically proven false and wrong - you can't claim "half of a group think something" without even knowing the total number.

Black suit (dress coat etc.) and mourning dress (which our women must wear: two years after the death of a husband - a year and nine months with mourning veil; half a year after death of her parent; three weeks after the death of an uncle, aunt or the like; half a year after death of a sibling, etc.) have nothing sinful in them.
